Despite being eliminated from the IEM Katowice Major on March 1, Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund has passed Jaros?aw “pashaBiceps” Jarz?bkowski as the all-time kill leader across all competitions in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Now sitting at a total of 29,132 competitive kills, GeT_RiGhT powered his way past the record during Ninjas in Pyjamas’ 2-0 loss against current Major champions Astralis. The Swedish team crashed out of the tournament in the final quarterfinals matchup of the New Champions stage.

Joining Ninjas in Pyjamas in August 2012, the 28-year-old has represented the Swedish organization throughout his entire Counter-Strike: Global Offensive career. He previously competed under the NiP brand in the original Counter-Strike, as well as SK Gaming and Fnatic.

After achieving an incredible number of victories at LAN events over his career, it’s no wonder that GeT_RiGhT has achieved so many kills. Not only has he been active in the scene since its inception, but he’s also been ranked among the top players by HLTV numerous times due to his exceptional abilities in-game—including back-to-back “best player” awards in 2013 and 2014.

Rounding out the top five kill leaders in the FPS are GeT_RiGhT’s teammate Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg, iconic French AWPer Kenny “kennyS” Schrub, and legendary Polish in-game leader Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas. All three of these players have the ability to claim the record for themselves, but they’re behind by at least 100 kills—and GeT_RiGhT doesn’t appear to be slowing down any time soon.
